Spearmint is a perennial herb, fresh and extremely fragrant, indispensable in teas , cocktails , salads , desserts , and everyday recipes. Its classic aroma, milder and less minty than that of peppermint, makes it versatile and highly prized. Vigorous and productive, it spreads quickly and provides leaves throughout the season. It is also a melliferous plant that attracts bees and contributes to biodiversity in the vegetable garden.

Planting and maintenance:
Sow on the surface—mint seeds prefer light to germinate. Keep the soil moist until germination. Plant in full sun or partial shade in rich, moist soil. Mint is very invasive : grow it in a pot or in a confined area if you want to limit its spread. Prune regularly to encourage new growth and harvest as needed throughout the season.
