Planting and maintenance:
Sow in a sunny location in deep, organic, well-drained soil. Unroll the 2-meter tape and cover it with 6 mm of soil, spacing the rows 45 cm apart. Keep the soil evenly moist until germination, which occurs in 7 to 10 days . Thin lightly to about 5 cm apart if necessary; the thinned seedlings can be eaten as baby vegetables. Successive sowings every two weeks extend the harvest from spring into early summer, and again into late summer when temperatures cool.
