description
Tender red radish and ultra-fast harvest
'Cherry Belle' radish ribbon (Raphanus sativus) , offered by OSC Seeds
This cherry-red radish with crisp, white flesh matures very quickly, in just 21 to 25 days. Introduced in 1949, 'Cherry Belle' remains one of the most reliable radishes thanks to its rapid growth, mild flavor, and ability to maintain its quality both in the garden and in the greenhouse. The seed tapes ensure even germination and strong plants without thinning.
Propagation: By direct sowing
Plant height: 10–15 cm
Package size: Approximately 100 seeds
Harvest days: 21–25 days
Frost tolerance: Frost resistant
Companion plants: Lettuce, spinach, peas
Incompatible plants: Cabbage (not recommended)
Planting and maintenance:
In a sunny location with well-drained, organic soil, spread the seed tape and cover it with 12 mm of soil. Space the rows 30 cm apart. Sow every two weeks as long as the temperature remains cool. Keep the soil consistently moist to encourage rapid growth, which is essential for tender, flavorful roots. Germination occurs in 5 to 10 days, and the natural spacing of the tape minimizes the need for thinning.
