Sow seeds indoors between late fall and February. Leave seeds exposed to light (12-hour light/dark cycle) on moist germination medium. Keep temperature at 68°F (20°C). Germination is slow and may take several weeks. Once germinated, grow plants under lights, then harden them off before transplanting to a sunny location after frost. If growing in zones 6 and below, bring plants indoors for the winter in a cool, well-ventilated location.
