Cultivation method :
Direct sow as soon as the soil can be worked in spring, then continue every two weeks for a constant supply. Plant seeds 3mm deep, spaced in rows 45cm apart. Gradually thin to 15cm to allow the heads to develop. Water regularly to maintain the crisp texture and harvest by cutting at the base, just below the lower leaves. Be careful of bolting, which makes the leaves bitter.
