Parthenocissus tricuspidata 'Robusta'

Latin name
Parthenocissus tricuspidata 'Robusta'
Common name
Boston Ivy 'Robusta'
Type
Climbing plant
Family
Vitaceae

Parthenocissus tricuspidata ‘Robusta’, also known as Boston Ivy ‘Robusta’, is a more vigorous selection with larger leaves than ‘Veitchii’. Its trilobed leaves are significantly larger, creating a more textured and less strictly planar effect. It still maintains excellent adhesion thanks to its suckers, but produces a thicker and slightly less formal cover. In summer, its bright green foliage is dense and opaque; in autumn, it turns bright red. This variety is particularly suitable for large facades, massive structures, and projects requiring a quick, dramatic effect. Parthenocissus tricuspidata ‘Robusta’ prefers sun to partial shade and tolerates various well-drained soils. Its more powerful growth makes it ideal for quickly covering large areas.
