Peppermint Swiss Chard: Stunning Visuals and Delicious Flavor

Peppermint Swiss Chard (Beta vulgaris subsp. cicla), offered by OSC Seeds

Peppermint Swiss Chard is a unique open-pollinated variety, renowned for its bright white petioles adorned with pink stripes and contrasting dark green savoyed leaves. Growing 60 to 80 cm tall, it’s perfect for specialty markets, home gardeners, and ornamental landscaping.

Spread: Final spacing of 10 cm after thinning
Plant height: 60 to 80 cm
Packet size: Approximately 110 seeds
Companion plants: Lettuce, carrots, onions
Incompatible plants: Spinach, potatoes

How to Grow:

Sow seeds 1–2 cm deep and 2.5 cm apart in rows spaced 45 cm apart from mid-spring. Continue sowing every two weeks until early summer for a continuous harvest. Gradually thin plants to 10 cm apart, enjoying the tender greens. Harvest by cutting outer leaves at the base, allowing new growth to emerge. Germination occurs in 5 to 10 days.

Peppermint Swiss Chard is perfect for gardeners seeking both aesthetics and functionality, offering delicious harvests and striking visual appeal.
