Cultivation method:

Sow seeds indoors about 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Use a peat moss-based mix for best germination. Maintain a temperature of 70-75°F to speed up germination (10-14 days). Once seedlings are 1.5 inches (4 cm), transplant into individual pots and lower the temperature to 60-65°F (15-18°C). Harden them off before transplanting into the ground in late May, spacing them 3 feet (90 cm) apart.
Tomatoes require full sun exposure, constant watering at the base, and crop rotation to limit disease. Avoid composting diseased plants. To protect the fruit, apply a straw mulch.
