Pinus nigra 'Komet' is a broad, pyramidal variety with glossy, dark green foliage and well-spaced branches that form a strong, regular structure. Less imposing than the type, but just as hardy, it is valued for its vigor, tolerance of harsh conditions, and ability to form a lasting anchor point in landscapes. 'Komet' is an excellent choice for large gardens or urban plantings.
