Lettuce ' Prizehead' (Lactuca sativa), offered by Semences OSC.
This heirloom variety offers bright green leaf lettuce with curly brownish-red edges. Its mild flavor and attractive color make it an excellent choice for early spring and fall. Prizehead grows quickly and is ideal for successive harvests. Avoid sowing late in the spring, as it can bolt in the heat.

Cultivation method:
Direct sow as soon as the ground is workable in spring, then continue every two weeks for a consistent harvest. Sow 3mm deep in rows 45cm apart. Maintain even moisture for best results. Harvest by cutting the head at the base just below the lower leaves to avoid bitterness from bolting. Germination in 7-10 days.
