Prunus armeniaca 'Harcot' is a Canadian apricot variety renowned for its hardiness and resistance to disease, particularly bacterial canker. This fruit tree is particularly suited to cooler climates thanks to its late flowering, which limits the risk of spring frost. It produces medium to large apricots with bright orange, slightly reddish skin and firm, sweet, and fragrant flesh. Excellent fresh, this variety is also suitable for processing. Self-fertile, the 'Harcot' apricot tree produces better yields when cross-pollinated. Ideal for northern orchards, it combines productivity, flavor, and resilience.
