Prunus domestica 'Crescent'

Prunus domestica ‘Crescent’, known as the 'Crescent' plum tree, is a hardy small fruit tree perfectly suited for residential orchards in Quebec, prized for its golden fruits with firm, sweet, and highly fragrant flesh. It is distinguished by its naturally rounded habit and abundant white blossoms in spring, attracting pollinating insects. This variety produces medium-sized plums, ideal for both fresh consumption and processing, with an early harvest from mid-season. Although it is self-sterile, it becomes very productive in the presence of another compatible plum tree. Easy to grow, ‘Crescent’ prefers well-drained, fertile to slightly clayey soils, and a sunny exposure. Thanks to its consistent productivity, exceptional flavor, and excellent hardiness, the 'Crescent' plum tree stands out as a prime choice for amateur gardeners and small orchards.
