Rhododendron catawbiense ‘Boursault’, commonly known as ‘Boursault’ rhododendron, is an evergreen ornamental shrub with a broad and dense habit, recognized for its vigor and spectacular flowering. In spring, it produces generous clusters of lilac-purple flowers marked with darker shades at the center, creating a luminous effect in shaded beds. Its dark green, leathery, and shiny foliage remains attractive all year round and provides a solid winter structure. Very hardy and reliable, it adapts well to northern climates when planted in partial shade in acidic, organically rich, and well-drained soil.
