Description

Salix interior, or sand willow, is a native shrub highly tolerant of poor, sandy soils and often used for streambank stabilization and ecological restoration. Its narrow, bluish-green foliage and spreading habit make it a useful plant for naturalistic plantings. It produces decorative catkins in spring and offers good resistance to wind, erosion, and drought. Very hardy and environmentally friendly, it is ideal for reforestation projects or the restoration of disturbed environments.
