Description

Sorbaria aitchisonii is a vigorous and ornamental shrub, less well-known than Sorbaria sorbifolia, but just as decorative. It has elegant, soft green foliage that turns yellow in autumn. Its panicles of white flowers in summer create a light, frothy effect in flowerbeds or free-standing hedges. Very hardy, suitable for ordinary soils, even poor ones, it adds generous volume and a fine texture to natural or rustic plantings.
