Description

Sorbaria sorbifolia, or mountain ash, is a very hardy and vigorous shrub, forming large, dense clumps of finely cut, light green foliage. In summer, it produces large, wispy white inflorescences that add a romantic touch to loose hedges or beds. Highly tolerant of wet soils, difficult conditions, and severe pruning, it is ideal for stabilizing slopes or filling large spaces. Its foliage sometimes takes on warm hues in autumn, adding additional seasonal appeal.
