Spartina pectinata is a tall perennial grass with a vigorous root system that is ideal for stabilizing weak soils along river banks. Once used for thatching roofs, it is now prized for its ability to stop erosion by binding weak soils. This grass is ideal for ecological restoration gardens and riparian areas.
