Spiraea japonica ‘Pineapple Poprocks’, commonly known as Japanese Spiraea ‘Pineapple Poprocks’, is a dwarf deciduous shrub with a compact, rounded habit, ideal for borders, rockeries, and low mass plantings. Its young foliage emerges bright golden yellow in spring, sometimes with chartreuse green undertones, then retains a vibrant hue throughout the summer. From late spring to summer, it is covered with flat corymbs of small, bright pink flowers that contrast beautifully with the golden foliage. Very decorative and easy to care for, it can be lightly pruned in spring to stimulate more abundant flowering. Spiraea japonica ‘Pineapple Poprocks’ prefers well-drained soil and a sunny exposure to maintain the intensity of its coloration and ensure generous flowering.
