Planting and Care:
Cucumbers grow best in rich, warm, sandy loam. Incorporate compost or well-aged manure 30 cm deep before planting. Wait until soil warms to at least 18 °C. Build 15–20 cm high mounds, 30–60 cm in diameter, spaced 120 cm apart. Sow 6–8 seeds per mound at 2 cm depth. After germination (7–10 days), thin to 3–4 plants per mound. In limited spaces, grow on a trellis. Keep soil evenly moist to avoid bitterness, particularly in hot, dry weather. Harvest with a sharp knife to preserve the vine.
