The oxycedra sunflower (Heliopsis helianthoides), offered by the seedsman Northern Wildflowers, is a hardy and attractive perennial with yellow flowers that resemble small sunflowers.
Growing to 3 to 5 feet tall, this plant blooms from June to September and thrives in sunny to partially shaded locations. Suitable for hardiness zones 3 to 8, it is ideal for prairie gardens and flower beds, adding a splash of color all summer long.
