Direct sow seeds in well-drained soil from mid-spring, once the ground is workable. Plant seeds 1/2 to 3/4 inch (1 to 2 cm) deep and space them 1 inch (2.5 cm) apart in rows 18 inches (45 cm) apart. To ensure a continuous harvest, sow every two weeks until early summer.

Gradually thin the seedlings to 4 inches (10 cm) apart, harvesting the small leaves for use as baby greens. Harvest the outer leaves by cutting them off at the base of the stem, while leaving the central leaves for continued regrowth.

This variety thrives in well-drained soil with an ideal pH between 6.5 and 7.5. Water regularly to maintain consistent moisture and provide moderate fertilization to stimulate growth.
