Broccoli 'De Cicco' (Brassica oleracea var. italica) – Offered by Ferme Tourne-Sol

Broccoli 'De Cicco' is an Italian heirloom variety , prized for its abundant production of small, tender, flavorful heads . Unlike hybrid varieties, it does not produce a single large head, but rather a main head followed by numerous side shoots , extending the harvest over several weeks. Ideal for fresh consumption, sautéed or in soup , it is distinguished by its mild and delicate flavor .

Recipe idea: Sautéed broccoli with garlic and lemon

• 1 head of broccoli 'De Cicco' with its side shoots
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 2 cloves of minced garlic
• The juice of half a lemon
• Salt and pepper to taste

  1. Blanch the broccoli for 2 minutes in boiling salted water, then drain.
  2. In a frying pan, heat the olive oil and add the minced garlic.
  3. Add the broccoli and sauté for 3 to 4 minutes .
  4. Sprinkle with lemon juice, season and serve hot.
