'Parade' bunching onions are a vigorous and productive green onion variety , producing long, straight, deep green stalks reminiscent of little soldiers lined up in a row. Farming method
'Parade' bunching onions thrive in full sun , in light, well-drained soil rich in organic matter . Sow directly outdoors from April to July , in rows spaced 20 cm apart, and thin the seedlings to 5 cm apart to allow them to develop properly. Regular watering is recommended to ensure tender and juicy stems, but avoid overwatering to prevent rotting. This variety can be harvested as needed , once the stems reach approximately 30 cm in height , between August and October .
