'Parade' bunching onions are a vigorous and productive green onion variety , producing long, straight, deep green stalks that resemble toy soldiers lined up in rows. Also known as spring shallots , they are prized for their mild, fresh flavor , perfect for a multitude of culinary uses. Unlike regular onions, they do not form bulbs and are harvested for their tasty, crisp stalks. Highly resistant to cold and disease , they are an excellent choice for spring, summer and fall growing.

Cultivation method
'Parade' bunching onions are grown in full sun , in light, well-drained soil rich in organic matter . Sow directly in the open ground from April to July , in rows spaced 20 cm apart, and thin the young plants to 5 cm to allow them to develop well. Regular watering is recommended to ensure tender and juicy stems, without excess to avoid rotting. This variety can be harvested as needed , as soon as the stems reach about 30 cm in height , between August and October .
