Carrot 'Witch's Fingers' (Daucus carota) – Offered by Ferme Tourne-Sol

The 'Witch's Fingers' carrot is a spectacular mix of purple, red, yellow and orange carrots , bringing as much colour as flavour to your harvest. Each colour has its own taste profile: some are mild and sweet , others have a slight spicy touch . This mix is ??ideal for salads, roasts and purees , and will delight gardeners and foodies alike.

? Sow directly in open ground as soon as the soil reaches 7°C , in rows spaced 20 cm apart.

? Sow shallowly (5 mm) and keep the soil moist to promote good germination.

Recipe idea: Roasted carrots with honey and spices

• 6 ‘Witch’s Fingers’ carrots
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 1 tbsp honey
• ½ tsp ground cumin
• ½ tsp paprika
• Salt and pepper to taste

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Peel and cut the carrots in half lengthwise.
  3. Mix oil, honey, spices, salt and pepper.
  4. Brush the carrots with this marinade.
  5. Roast for 25 to 30 minutes , until tender and lightly caramelized.
