Mixed cherry tomatoes (Solanum lycopersicum), offered by Ferme Tourne-Sol

Mixed Cherry Tomatoes offer an explosion of color and flavor in the vegetable garden. This mix brings together different varieties of cherry tomatoes— red, yellow, orange, pink, and bicolor —each contributing its unique aromatic note, ranging from sweet to tangy , with juicy and crisp textures. Highly productive , vigorous , and generally indeterminate , these tomatoes produce abundantly all summer long until the first frost.

They are ideal for gardeners wanting a varied and continuous harvest, while adding a decorative touch to the vegetable garden thanks to their diversity of shapes and colors.

Type: Cherry tomato mix
Plant growth habit: Indeterminate (mostly)
Spread: 50 to 70 cm
Plant height: 1.5 to 2 m
Quantity per packet: 50 seeds
Maturity: 60 to 75 days
Companion plants: Basil, garlic, onion, carrot, marigold
Enemy plants: Fennel, potato (similar diseases)

Farming method

Mixed cherry tomatoes thrive in full sun in rich , deep , well-drained soil that is regularly amended with compost. Start seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost and transplant outdoors when nights are warmer (10°C and above).

Since most varieties are indeterminate, they require sturdy support in the form of trellises, reinforced cages, or robust stakes. Space the plants 50 to 70 cm apart to ensure good air circulation. Water at the base of the plant, avoiding wetting the foliage, and apply mulch to reduce evaporation and limit disease.

Uses and benefits

Mixed cherry tomatoes are perfect for colorful salads , crudités platters , summer meals , fresh pasta , grilled kebabs , or simply for enjoying straight from the garden. Their wide variety of colors and flavors makes them an ideal choice for creative cooks and festive meals. They are rich in antioxidants , vitamin C , and lycopene , contributing to a healthy and varied diet. Their continuous and abundant production makes them a must-have for all gardeners, from beginners to seasoned enthusiasts.
