This mix of pole beans gives you a bountiful and diverse harvest , with green, yellow, purple and sometimes striped pods, each providing its own flavour and texture . The vigorous and productive plants climb up to 2.5m , requiring a sturdy stake or trellis . Unlike dwarf varieties, pole beans produce for a longer period and offer impressive yields over a longer period.

Cultivation method

Climbing beans are grown in full sun , in light, well-drained soil rich in organic matter . Sow directly in the open ground after the last frosts, when the soil temperature reaches 15°C . Plant 3 to 4 seeds per stake , or in rows spaced 30 to 40 cm apart, with a sturdy support to guide them. Regular but moderate watering encourages continuous production. Harvest beans young and tender , picking regularly to stimulate new production.
