Farming method

The 'Clair de Lune' poppy thrives in full sun , in light , well-drained , and slightly moist soil. Due to its fragile root system, it is best sown directly outdoors in early spring or autumn.

Keep the soil moderately moist during germination, then reduce watering once the seedlings are established. Space them 20 to 25 cm apart to allow for good air circulation and to obtain compact and vigorous plants.

This poppy tolerates cool temperatures well and can flower even in colder periods. Removing faded flowers prolongs blooming. Leaving a few seed pods to dry in place ensures natural reseeding for subsequent years.
