Cultivation method

The Yellow Cherry tomato 'Galina' is grown in full sun , in rich, well-drained soil amended with compost . To optimize its growth, start seedlings indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost , then transplant into the open ground once night temperatures exceed 10°C . As it is an indeterminate variety, it requires solid staking or trellising to support its vigorous growth and facilitate harvesting. Spacing of 50 to 70 cm between each plant allows good air circulation and reduces the risk of disease. Regular but moderate watering is recommended, avoiding wetting the foliage to prevent the appearance of mildew. Applying mulch at the base of the plant helps to conserve moisture and protects the roots from temperature variations. Harvest begins in 65 to 70 days , when the fruits turn a beautiful bright yellow color and are easy to detach.

Use and benefits

The Yellow Cherry tomato 'Galina' is a must for fresh salads, bruschetta and summer snacks . Its thin skin and juicy flesh make it an excellent option to be eaten fresh or lightly candied in the oven with herbs and a drizzle of olive oil. Thanks to its high content of vitamin C and antioxidants , it contributes to a healthy and balanced diet.

Growing this tomato means enjoying a resistant, abundant and delicious variety, perfect for brightening up the vegetable garden and the plate all summer long.
