Organic 'Apricot Zebra' marbled tomato
Organic Apricot Zebra Marbled Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) is a vigorous, highly decorative indeterminate annual variety valued for its small marbled fruits in apricot, orange, and yellow tones. In the vegetable garden, it quickly draws attention with its long colorful clusters and generous growth, creating a beautiful impression of abundance throughout summer. Its juicy, mild, fruity, slightly tangy flesh makes it perfect for fresh eating, salads, snacks, appetizers, garnishes, and tasting platters. Germination usually takes 7 to 14 days when seedlings receive proper warmth and light. After the last frosts, hardened-off plants can be transplanted into full sun, in fertile, organic-rich, slightly acidic to neutral, well-drained soil. It can be grown in a large 45 to 50 cm (18 to 20 in) diameter container, but reaches its full potential in the vegetable garden. A sturdy stake, regular watering, organic mulch, and balanced fertilization support strong production.
