description

Organic Sean’s Yellow Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) is a productive annual variety from the Dwarf collection, valued for its compact 90 to 120 cm (3 to 4 ft) habit and bright yellow round fruits. In the vegetable garden, it brings beautiful ornamental value with its tidy shape and golden harvests that contrast nicely with green foliage. Its tender, juicy, mild, low-acid flesh makes it ideal for fresh eating, salads, sandwiches, thick slices, and tasting platters. Easy to integrate into small spaces, it usually produces fruit about 65 days after sowing.

Organic Sean’s Yellow Tomato should be sown indoors from February to April, about 0.5 cm (1/4 in) deep, at a steady temperature of 22 to 28°C (72 to 82°F). Germination is usually quick, in 5 to 10 days, when seedlings receive proper warmth and light. After the last frosts, hardened-off plants can be transplanted into full sun, in fertile, organic-rich, slightly acidic to neutral, well-drained soil. It grows very well in pots at least 40 cm (16 in) in diameter, in raised containers, or in the ground. Regular watering, organic mulch, balanced fertilization, and light support encourage a strong harvest.

In the edible garden, Organic Sean’s Yellow Tomato is perfect for family vegetable gardens, urban gardens, containers, and edible landscapes where color, mild flavor, and easy growing are desired. Its golden fruits add visual diversity to summer harvests and appeal to both adults and children thanks to their delicate flavor. Basil, chives, and parsley are good companion plants, while rotation with other nightshades helps reduce certain crop issues. Its yellow flowers attract bees, bumblebees, and other pollinating insects, supporting good fruiting and beneficial biodiversity in the vegetable garden.
