A Flame of Colors for Your Gardens

Tritoma 'Pfitzers Hybrid' ( Kniphofia x hybrida ), offered by Semences OSC.

A spectacular perennial that produces tubular flower spikes in flamboyant hues of red, orange and yellow. Growing to 30 inches tall, this hardy, drought-tolerant variety thrives beautifully in full sun gardens. Once established, it forms an enlarged rhizome, ideal for division and transplanting. Hardy to zone 5 with winter protection, it is perfect for attracting pollinators.

Plant height : 75 cm
Quantity per pack : Approximately 100 seeds (320 seeds/gram)
Companion plants : Echinacea, ornamental grasses, lavender
Enemy plants : Poorly drained soils
Suggested Uses : Drought tolerant, ideal for borders and as a preferred pollinator
Plant Type : Perennial

Cultivation method:

For spring transplants, start seedlings indoors in a soilless mix in early April. Maintain a temperature of 75-80°F (24-27°C) to encourage germination in 15-25 days. After germination, place seedlings in bright light at a slightly cooler temperature, then harden them off before transplanting to a full sun location after the last frost.

For a more direct approach, sow seeds in the garden in mid to late June, in well-drained, warm soil. Water sparingly and allow seedlings to establish.

Bring a touch of flamboyant elegance to your outdoor spaces with Tritoma 'Pfitzers Hybrid', a true marvel for lovers of colorful gardens.
