‘Flamenca’ is a tuberous begonia with generous double pink flowers and softly ruffled petals, bringing summer colour to partly shaded spaces. Its trailing habit and height of about 30 cm make it well suited to pots, window boxes and hanging baskets. Each pack contains one dormant tuber to start in spring.

In Canada, start the tuber indoors in spring in bright light away from direct sun, then move the plant outdoors once all risk of frost has passed in your area. Set the tuber shallowly in a well-drained potting mix with the hollow side facing up, and water sparingly while growth begins. Choose partial shade, shelter from wind and a container with drainage holes for its summer display.

Remove faded flowers and water regularly during active growth, without leaving water in the saucer. Avoid hot sun, which can damage the leaves and blooms. In fall, bring the tuber indoors before frost and store it in a cool, dry, frost-free place during dormancy. This ornamental tuber must not be eaten; keep it out of reach of children and pets.
