‘St. Brigid Mix’ anemones produce semi-double to double flowers with layers of petals in white, red, violet and purplish blue. Finely cut green foliage sets off their summer blooms, which add colour to the garden and cut-flower bouquets. Each pack contains 10 dormant corms, commonly sold as anemone bulbs, for spring planting.

In Canada, plant outdoors once the risk of frost has passed in your area. Choose full sun or partial shade and loose, well-drained soil. Soak the corms in water for a few hours before planting to rehydrate them, then set them 5 cm deep and 10 cm apart. Water them in and keep the soil moderately moist while the plants are growing.

Plant this colourful mix in small groups along a border or in a pot with drainage holes where you can enjoy the blooms up close. Remove faded flowers and allow the leaves to yellow naturally. In cold-winter regions, store dormant corms in a dry, frost-free place. The plant is toxic if eaten and its sap may irritate skin; wear gloves when handling it.
