‘Valente’ is a decorative dahlia with double white flowers, sometimes lightly blushed with pink at the centre, that brighten summer borders. It grows approximately 1.10 m tall and also provides flowers for bouquets. Each package contains one clump of dahlia tubers for planting.

Plant in spring after the last local frost, once the soil has warmed. Choose full sun and fertile, well-drained soil. Set the tuber clump approximately 10 cm deep with the growing eyes facing upwards, leave about 50 cm between plants, and install a stake at planting time.

The pale blooms create a gentle contrast with dark foliage and combine beautifully with pink or mauve flowers. Water at soil level without waterlogging, and remove spent flowers to encourage continued blooming. In Canadian regions with freezing winters, lift the tubers after the first light frost blackens the foliage but before the ground freezes, then store them in a cool, frost-free place.
