‘Frank’s Favourite’ is a collarette dahlia with warm peach-orange petals edged in red, a small inner collar and an open golden centre. Its summer flowers bring inviting colour to garden borders and cut-flower arrangements, continuing until frost when growing conditions are favourable. Each package contains one clump of dahlia tubers for planting.

Plant in spring after the local risk of frost has passed and the soil has warmed. Choose full sun and fertile, well-drained soil, adding compost if needed. Set the tuber clump approximately 10 cm deep with the growing eyes facing upwards, leaving about 50 cm between plants. Install a stake at planting time to support the stems as they grow.

Pair its warm shades with purple, cream or blue flowers; the accessible flower centres can also welcome pollinating insects. Water at soil level to maintain even moisture without waterlogging, and remove spent flowers to encourage more buds. In Canadian regions with freezing winters, lift the tubers after the first light frost blackens the foliage but before the ground freezes, then store them in a cool, frost-free place.
