‘Strawberry Bon Bon’ is a collarette dahlia with pink flowers that deepen in colour towards the centre, where a ring of small petals surrounds a golden heart. It grows approximately 1 m tall and flowers in summer, continuing until frost when conditions are favourable. Each package contains one clump of dahlia tubers for planting in garden borders or growing for bouquets.

Plant in spring after the last local frost and once the soil has warmed. Choose full sun and fertile, well-drained soil, adding compost if needed. Set the tuber clump approximately 10 cm deep with the growing eyes facing upwards, leaving about 50 cm between plants. Install a stake at planting time to support the stems without disturbing the roots later.

Pair the pink blooms with white, purple or lavender-blue flowers; their open centres are also accessible to pollinators. Water at soil level to maintain even moisture without waterlogging, and remove spent flowers to encourage more buds. In Canadian regions with freezing winters, lift the tubers after the first light frost blackens the foliage but before the ground freezes, then store them in a cool, frost-free place.
