‘Camelot’ cactus dahlia combines double orange flowers, shaded with yellow and coral red, with bronze foliage that makes the warm colours stand out. Growing to about 1.20 m, it adds structure to garden beds and provides cut flowers from summer until frost. Each pack contains one dormant tuberous root clump for spring planting.

In Canada, wait until the risk of frost has passed and the soil has warmed before planting outdoors. Choose full sun and fertile, loose, well-drained soil. Set the roots about 10 cm deep with the crown and growth buds facing up, leaving 50 cm between plants. Place a sturdy stake at planting time, as the tall flowering stems will need support.

Use the fiery colours in a border with apricot, yellow or burgundy flowers, or add them to warm-toned bouquets. Water regularly during growth without leaving the soil waterlogged, and remove faded blooms. In fall, after the first light frosts blacken the foliage, lift the roots before the ground freezes. Let them dry off, then store them in a cool, frost-free place for the following season.
