‘Sweet Sugar’ is an LA hybrid lily with large pink summer flowers, deepening towards a speckled centre. Upright stems reach approximately 1.10 m, making it useful in garden borders and cut-flower arrangements. Each package contains one 16/18 cm circumference bulb.

Plant in spring once the ground can be worked, in sun or partial shade. Choose fertile, well-drained soil and set the bulb point upwards approximately 10 cm deep. Allow about 30 cm between plants and water after planting. A light mulch helps keep the roots cool through summer.

Combine the pink flowers with white and lavender-blue tones in a perennial garden. Water during dry spells and remove spent flowers without cutting green leaves, which feed the bulb for the following season. True lilies are highly toxic to cats, including their pollen and vase water: avoid growing or displaying them where cats can reach them.
