‘Nicola’ produces oval, yellow-fleshed potatoes with a firm texture that works well in salads or simply boiled. Each packet contains 500 g of organically grown seed potatoes for a small vegetable-garden planting or a suitably large container.

Plant in spring in warm, loose, well-drained soil with a sunny exposure. Set the tubers approximately 10 cm deep and about 30 cm apart. As the stems grow, hill soil around their bases to keep the developing potatoes protected from light.

Maintain consistent moisture during growth, especially in containers, while avoiding waterlogged soil. The flesh holds its shape when cooked, making it useful for potato salads and sautéed side dishes. Harvest gently and keep potatoes intended for storage cool and dark. Remove all green, damaged or sprouting parts before preparing the potatoes and discard severely affected tubers. Do not eat bitter-tasting potatoes or the sprouts.
