From bulb to bloom

The ‘Lavender Lemonade’ gladiolus mix combines soft yellow and lavender flowers on tall, upright spikes. Growing approximately 1 m tall, these gladioli bring pastel colour to borders and late-summer bouquets. Each package contains fifteen corms for planting.

Plant in spring after the local risk of frost has passed and the soil has warmed, in full sun and a position sheltered from strong winds. Choose fertile, well-drained soil. Set the corms with the pointed ends facing upwards, approximately 10–15 cm deep and 10–15 cm apart. Provide support to keep the flower spikes upright if needed.

Pair the two colours with white flowers and silver foliage. Water during dry weather and keep as many leaves as possible when cutting stems for arrangements. In Canadian regions with freezing winters, lift the corms before frost, dry them in an airy place, and store healthy corms dry and frost-free for winter.
