How to Grow:

Direct sow seeds outdoors in a sunny location, 6–10 mm deep and spaced 2.5 cm apart, about three weeks before the last frost date. Space rows approximately 60 cm apart. Thin seedlings to 30 cm spacing once established. For an earlier start, sow seeds indoors 6–8 weeks before the last frost, harden off, and transplant outdoors about two weeks before the last frost. Harvest outer leaves when plants are about 30 cm tall. Germination occurs in 8–12 days.

The 'Vates' collard is a versatile choice, delivering tender, flavorful leaves over a long harvesting period.
