Description
The 'Vidal' vine is a white hybrid grape variety widely used in wine production in Canada and the northern United States, particularly for ice wines. It produces large clusters of golden grapes, with juicy flesh and a sweet taste, rich in sugar but with good acidity, making it a grape of choice for sweet white and liqueur wines. Very cold-hardy, it is also moderately disease-tolerant, with vigorous and dense foliage. It requires good sunlight and well-drained soil, and can be easily pruned short to optimize the quality of the grapes and the wine.
