Italian Basil 'Classico Genovese' is a traditional Italian variety, prized for its medium-sized (5 cm / 2"), dark green leaves, which are highly aromatic and have a spicy fragrance. Perfect for pesto and Mediterranean cuisine, this basil is vigorous, slow to bolt, and adapts well to containers, both indoors and outdoors.

Cultivation Method:

Sow directly outdoors in late May, after all risk of frost has passed, then every two weeks until August to prolong the harvest. For an early start, begin sowing indoors a few weeks before the last frost date, then transplant outdoors when temperatures stabilize.

Basil prefers well-drained soil and full sun exposure. In winter, it can be grown indoors on a bright windowsill or under grow lights. Water regularly to keep the soil slightly moist.

Ideal for pots, gardens, and indoor cultivation, Italian Basil 'Classico Genovese' is a vigorous and easy-to-care-for plant. Its intense flavor and powerful aroma make it essential for lovers of Italian cuisine and gardeners looking for fresh herbs all year round.
