Cultivation method:

Direct sow seeds in well-drained soil from mid-spring, once the ground is workable. Plant seeds 1/2 to 3/4 inch (1 to 2 cm) deep and space them 1 inch (2.5 cm) apart in rows 18 inches (45 cm) apart. To ensure a continuous harvest, repeat sowing every two weeks until early summer.

Gradually thin the seedlings to 10cm (4in) apart, using the small leaves as baby greens. Harvest the outer leaves by cutting them off at the base of the stem, leaving the central leaves to encourage continued regrowth.

This variety prefers well-drained soil with an ideal pH between 6.5 and 7.5. Maintain consistent moisture and enrich the soil with organic matter for optimal results.
