Its medium-length, straight pods contain 6 to 7 dark green seeds, which take on a magnificent purple hue when they reach full maturity. Adapted to warm climates and short seasons, it offers an exceptional flavor, whether consumed fresh or as mature seeds.

Days to maturity: 50 to 55 days
Height: 24 to 34 inches
Plant Type: Medium Bush
Plant spacing: 14 to 18 inches apart
Exposure: Full sun
Sowing: Semi-direct
Quantity per pack: untreated, GMO-free seeds

Cultivation method:

'Violetto' bean thrives in light, well-drained soil with a pH of 6.5. Avoid cold, wet soils that stunt its growth. Make sure the soil has reached at least 60°F (16°C) before sowing.

Sow seeds directly outdoors 1 inch (2.5 cm) deep and 3 inches (8 cm) apart in rows 18 to 28 inches (45 to 70 cm) apart.

For a continuous harvest, sow bush beans every 10 days until mid-July. Keep the soil evenly moist, especially during flowering and pod formation. Handle plants only when their leaves are dry to prevent disease.
