Cultivation method

Sow directly into the ground in June , 1/4 inch (6 mm) deep, in rows 24 inches (60 cm) apart. Once the plants are well established, thin them to 8 inches (20 cm) apart in the row.

Bleaching for softer sheets
7-10 days before harvest, bundle the inner leaves together by tying the larger outer leaves. This technique reduces bitterness and makes the leaves more tender. Make sure the outer leaves are completely dry before tying the plant.
