The climbing asarina 'Melange', native to Mexico, is a spectacular climbing plant that reaches up to 350 cm in height with small, delicate flowers in a variety of colours including pale pink, scarlet, purple, blue and white. It is ideal for trellises, fences and pergolas, and attracts hummingbirds while adding an exotic and vibrant touch to your garden.

Cultivation method:
Sow seeds indoors 8 weeks before the last expected frost Maintain a temperature of 65-68°F (18-20°C) for rapid germination Transplant young plants outdoors after the last frost into rich, well-drained soil Install a support such as a trellis or pergola to guide the growth of the vines
Prepare fresh, rich, well-drained soil outdoors Turn the soil over to a depth of 30cm and mix with an equal part of compost Place the plant in a suitable hole and add organic bone meal or a soil activator to stimulate the roots Compact the soil and water regularly for the first few days
