Cultivation method:
The dwarf bean 'Celine Pourpre' is sown directly in the garden from mid-May to the end of July , once all risk of frost has passed. The seeds are sensitive to cold and require a soil temperature between 18 and 24°C for good germination. Avoid sowing too early or in overly wet soil, as this hinders emergence.
It prefers light, well-drained soil in full sun . Sow seeds 5 to 8 cm apart in rows approximately 50 cm apart. For continuous production, sow seeds every two weeks until July. Fertilize sparingly, avoiding direct contact between the seeds and concentrated fertilizer; excess nitrogen promotes foliage growth at the expense of pods. Regular watering is required during dry periods.
Harvest :
Harvest the pods regularly to encourage the formation of new ones. Pick them when they are well-formed and still tender. Avoid harvesting after rain or early in the morning to reduce the risk of disease.
