Cultivation method:
The 'Mascotte' dwarf bean is sown directly in the garden from mid-May to the end of July , once all risk of frost has passed. The seeds are fragile and require warm soil between 18 and 24°C for good germination. Avoid sowing too early or in overly wet soil, as this reduces emergence.
It prefers light, well-drained soil in full sun . Sow 5 to 8 cm apart in rows approximately 50 cm apart. For a prolonged harvest, sow every two weeks until July. Fertilize moderately, avoiding direct contact between the seeds and concentrated fertilizer; excess nitrogen promotes foliage growth at the expense of pods.
Harvest :
Harvest the pods regularly to encourage continuous production. Avoid picking after rain or early in the morning to minimize the risk of disease. The pods are best when young, well-formed, and still tender.
Compact, productive and ideal for planters!
With its neat shape , generous harvest, and excellent flavor, the 'Mascotte' green dwarf bean is a winning choice for small spaces and vegetable gardens alike. Easy to grow and award-winning for its performance, it guarantees crisp and flavorful harvests all season long.
