Cultivation method:
Soak the alfalfa seeds for 8 to 12 hours , then drain them thoroughly. Place the seeds in a sprouting tray or suitable container, free of soil. Rinse and drain 2 to 3 times a day , ensuring the water never stagnates.
Germination is rapid and requires no soil, transplanting, or replanting . Cultivation requires only a few minutes a day for rinsing. Sprouts can be produced year-round, even in winter, for a constant supply of fresh sprouts.
Harvesting and advice:
Harvest after 5 to 6 days , when the sprouts are well developed. After harvesting, soak the sprouts several times in water , then dry them thoroughly to prolong their shelf life.
Alfalfa is often associated with mucilaginous seeds such as basil or rocket, with which it combines very well, both for cultivation and for culinary use.
